About me

I am a published author ( my debut Faking It was released by Penguin in February) with six years freelance copywriting experience. I am an experienced editorial assistant covering multiple topics aimed at the young female urbanite. I also have experience in marketing, publicity and PR as I ran my own campaign with Penguin's backing to gain editorial coverage for my novel. I secured two quotes from Heat magazine and Star magazine, reviews to be published in said magazines, organised radio interviews, webzine interviews and wrote my own press release which I then marketed to independent book stores and high street stores in London. I also organised competitions to win copies of my novel with the Star newspaper and Mr.Paparazzi website. At present I am working as a finance manager in an internet start up company. I originally started as a copywriter and fell into finance. I am very keen to get back into a creative role where I can use the skills I have gained so far. My strengths are turning copy into something interesting, writing, coming up with ideas and networking to make them happen, organising competitions and reader offers, dealing with day to day administration and writing features and articles. I am looking for a position that allows me scope to be creative where I can add value to the business.
