Dear Sirs,

I am a motivated, reliable candidate, currently looking to join a new organisation that would appreciate prolonged commitment and I am confident I hold the skills and qualifications you require.

In June 2006 I graduated from the London College of Fashion with a BA Hons degree in Make-Up for the Performing Arts which involved both design and practical exploring of the art. I have attached a copy of my CV listing my experience and contact details.

I returned home from a year-long adventure around the world following graduation and have since been working both as a freelance make-up artist as well as within an agency based role. However I feel I have gone as far as I can here and need a new role to learn from.

I would be happy to come in for an informal meeting to discuss my capabilities and to explain the skills that I could bring to the position. In the meantime I'll allow my CV to speak for itself, leaving you to assess my qualities and skills.
