About me

I am a graphic designer with ten years experience in publishing and marketing design. I have worked on a broad range of media from magazines to marketing and most recently digital, being responsible from initial brief to final pdf output. Currently freelancing on a variety of consumer and business projects, my last full time position included editorial, advertising, events and email campaigns. Prior to this I worked at The Times Educational Supplement and Magazine, where I had to create eye catching concepts and layouts to tight deadlines, whilst also researching pictures, commissioning photographers and being responsible for a picture budget. All of my positions have enabled me to gain experience in not only design but in print and production, allowing me to have a wide range of skills. I have also worked in many industries through my career including car electronics, aesthetics, maritime, law, finance, insurance and education which leaves me able to approach new projects with confidence. I am affluent in Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat and am currently learning Dreamweaver. I have the ability to juggle lots of projects at once and am an excellent team player, with a creative yet professional approach.

Skills

I am expert level in Creative Suite, Keynote and Microsoft Office. I have a good working knowledge of Dreamweaver and Joomla CMS., I can design for editorial, marketing and events material., I can update websites, write straplines and proof read., I have photo commissioning and picture research skills.
