About me

I'm Lon Chan, a freelance illustrator for hire based in sunny Brighton - here are some things you might like to know about me...

Although my illustrations are digital, I draw directly onto my computer, with my very own hands (and a special stylus), so I like to think that some of this handcrafted quality comes through to the finished imagery.

I was selected by the jury for Lürzer's Archive's 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide.

I like to make bold imagery, so contrasting tones and bright colours are the order of the day.

I trained as an architect before deciding that I'd rather be making beautiful artwork than beautiful buildings.

I've created illustration work for some great clients over the years from Channel 4's Embarrassing bodies to Dark Star Brewing Co. My illustrations have appeared in magazines, on beer pumps, in books and print ads, on the telly, across a few walls and even a caravan!
