About me
I create timeless worlds through illustration, to meet client briefs and inspired by art methods, classic literature and antiquities from long ago and from around the world. Since childhood I've loved and collected the work of 19th and 20th century illustrators and fabric designers. My work combines contemporary illustration, using analogue and digital methods, with vintage content and themes - often containing an underlying social observation linking the past to the present.
MY WORK:
Narrative illustration artwork for books, editorial and online content - for audiences of all ages. Special interest in creating illustrations for poetry, heritage, gothic and fantasy stories and social equality themes.
Illustration for textiles, model-making and animation. Special interest in creating illustrated interiors textiles, fantasy headdresses, and animations for social enterprise themes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications Include: MA Sequential Design / Illustration (University of Brighton, 2022), MBA (University of Sussex, 2002) : Diploma Business Enterprise (Oxford Brookes University, 2004) : Certificate Narrative Illustration (University of Brighton, 2006).
