About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I spent 15 years working in the same office. I did admin; typing, filing, invoicing, quoting, phone answering, lots of other 'ings', but it wasn't my passion. My passion was (and is) writing. But I was tired of no one knowing about it. Or rather, I wanted to be able to do it all day every day and not hide it away at the dark ends of the day. Perhaps what I was really tired of was all the other 'ings' I did that weren't writing.

So I became a freelance writer.

I am currently the feature writer and online editor for both insideKENT and insideSUSSEX magazines (published through Sideways Media Ltd), and as well as features, I have been called upon to write press releases and carry out editing and proofreading work. I also write for a number of blogs on a freelance basis (including for the Family Law Advice Centre, Yorkshire Accountancy, and UK Curtains and Interiors), and I have produced content for various websites (my largest project to date was for an adult toy website).

I can turn my hand to anything; I've written blog posts on finance, education and marketing, stories about romance and high adventure, books about ghosts and drug lords, descriptions for Christmas hampers and Harrods' gift boxes...

Regarding my fiction writing experience, I have had over forty short stories published in recent (2011 onwards) anthologies (including books from Angelic Knight Press, Cruentus Libri Press, and Sirens Call Publications), with more to be published throughout the rest of 2016. I've also written two children's novels, the first of which (The Book of Mandragore) was published in May 2014 by J. Ellington Ashton Press. The second is to be published by Visionary Press. These are aimed at the 8-12 year old market. In November 2012, my short story collection, Over The Bridge, was published by Dark Hall Press. My second collection of short stories (Fairy Lights) was published in November 2013 by J. Ellington Ashton Press. My horror novel aimed at adults, Trip Trap, was published in January 2016 by JEA.

I am currently ghost writing a spy novel and a non-fiction book about toddlers' sleeping habits, and have just finished ghost writing a zombie novel which has already been picked up by a publisher.

I have ghost written thousands of product descriptions, web pages, sales letters, articles, and blog posts for clients. I have even been given my own login details in order to post articles.

Should you wish to see examples of my work, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to send across articles, blog posts, or anything else that is of interest.

Alternatively, please see or for further examples of my writing style and research ability.
