About me
CURRENTLY SEEKING NEW MAGAZINE DESIGN WORK
I am a freelance graphic designer with over 13 years experience, specialising in print magazines, particularly local luxury lifestyle. I can also offer design on a range of other items from corporate stationery and logo design, to advertisements, folders and brochures, either in-house or from my home office. I consider myself to be a very highly self motivated person, I always work very efficiently and with attention to detail, and handle a large workload without compromising on quality. I design a number of magazines on a monthly basis but have around 80 hours capacity per month to take on further work.
I was headhunted by Fish Media Group in 2012 and now design the monthly Surrey and Hertfordshire editions of Life Magazines, as well as the bi-monthly Yummy Mummy parenting magazine. In addition to this I carried out a re-design of the publications last year, and also helped launch the Los Angeles editions in October 2016, by additionally organising all of the editorial content, which I still do on a monthly basis. The role also includes liaising with advertisers.
For Lurot Brand, Malverns and Marler & Marler and Beeby Anderson Recruitment I lay out monthly advertising pages. Other ad hoc and regular work includes advertisements, brochures, flyers and logos as required, some clients of whom I have worked with for many years and obtained through word of mouth.
Past work includes Runwild Media Group, working as an in-house senior designer at Canary Wharf on luxury lifestyle magazines including 'The Mayfair Magazine', 'The City Magazine' and 'Fulham Residents' Journal'. Also in 2012, Mpi Magazine (all design and artworking on a bi-monthly title) Mark Dempster (typesetting of a non-fiction book). Zest Media (designer and copy controller on several luxury lifestyle titles). Corporate identity for Trust Will Plan and Entire Wealth Management (financial companies) and packaging design and print adverts for Marcela's Beauty. I have also worked with a care home, interiors company, events corporation and local printing firms. Prior to this I worked for another local luxury lifestyle magazine for Notting Hill, after several years in property marketing creating quality brochures for the top end of the London property market.
