About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a Photography and Photoshop enthusiast with a couple of years practice in image editing, retouching and manipulation at a busy photo studios. I would like to apply for a position of Retoucher at Postman which was advertised on Creativepool. I am available to start immediately.

My employment at a luxury makeover Doubletake Studios as a Creative Retoucher and Designer has helped me to develop an expert knowledge of Photoshop. The main part of my job was a high end retouch. I am familiar with manual retouch like scars/blemishes removal, cloning, healing, dodging/burning etc as well as using specific plug-ins like Portraiture or Frequency.

The second part was creating bespoke artworks and I achieved excellent command in using advanced techniques like masking, blending, cutting out, background changing /removing, colour correction/matching, liquefying/reshaping etc.

Duties also included client consultation, liaising with other departments (photographers stylists, reception), naming and saving files, burning CDs. I have learned to work effectively in a very tight time constrain delivering high end artworks and was among the ten bestselling retouchers in September.

I am equally confident in a Mac and Pc environment and have been using Wacom tablet on a daily basis.

Apart from that I have also completed an Art, Design and Media course. Creating many projects including advertisements, logos, CD covers, photo restoration and retouching, web and portfolio designing helped me to expand my knowledge and confidence in using Adobe Creative Suite.

The position of Retoucher would suit me because I would like to continue to build my career within designing area and gain a new skills. I am a friendly, positive person, a fast worker with an eye for a detail. I believe that my skills, experience and genuine passion for fashion would be beneficial.
