About me

I'm writing in response to your advert for the position of Graphic Designer as posted on Creative Pool. Please find my attached CV in hoping you agree I am perfect for this role.

I graduated from York University with a Degree in Graphic Design and have been working at a small company called H&A ever since. It is here that I have spent the past four years working my way up from graduate to lead designer of a small team, passing on my skills and knowledge to new recruitments and the rest of the creatives.

H&A is the leading supplier of kids washing and bathing products in the UK with some huge clients. My role there is varied and I see our products through from initial visualisation, through packaging design and even photography for the adverts and web based promo we create.

In January, my team picked up the Disney award for 'Best Tween and Adult Licensee', which took into account the many products I have designed on the latest Disney ranges.

Not just working on licensed products though, H&A has a number of its own brands. My redesign of their biggest in 2014, Bathtime Buddies, doubled its turnover making it a million pound property.

When I came across your advertisement I was intrigued. Not only am I certain that I'm capable of the design work involved as I currently work on similar mediums, but I'm excited at the prospect of creating work aimed at a completely different audience. I'm hoping that with it will bring the chance to learn and develop my current design skills.

My current salary is just under £22,000 and I hold a clean, full UK driving licence, so the commute would not be a problem with me living locally in York.
