Dear Sir / Madam,

Thank you for the opportunity of applying for the post of a Corporate Graphic Designer in your organisation.

My name is Leonard and I am an artist. I read Fine Art from the University of Benin in Nigeria and graduated in Painting in 1986.

I have working knowledge and hands on experience of a host of graphic software which include Micrographics Designer, Coreldraw, Quark Express, Photoshop and Illustrator.

In the first ten years after my graduation I taught art, lived as a commissioned portrait painter, a printer and a computer graphic artist.

I was later to join the marketing department of a reputable corporate organisation, MTN Nigeria as the Graphics and prints officer.

My role was to manage the corporate identity of the company and that led to the wider responsibility of maintaining the consistency of our corporate brand. This I achieved by working with colleagues and agencies across all products, initiatives, merchandising, the web, often adjudicating on evolving grey areas. These I could do due to my comfort with intelligence and logical conclusions.

On coming to the UK in 2009, I have worked more around my children both at home, and at school as a paid Teaching Assistant. I was 5 months into licensing as a teacher, but had to stop, to seek a different challenge. I have immense organising skill, analytical and a good sense of purpose.

I am an artist and a good graphic artist and want to work with you.
