About me

I am a Masters graduate of Postproduction with Specialisation in Visual Effects from The University Of York, looking to work for a successful and versatile post-production company.

As you will see from my CV, I have gained a wide variety of both transferable and specific skills, which relate to working in production and post-production environments. In addition, I feel that my education has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of, and in-depth experience in, the processes of film and video making. It has allowed me to not only master the technical aspects of the whole process, but to explore and develop my own creativity, all within a professional/commercial framework.

I am also familiar with many aspects of the pre-production stage and taking a project from concept to its final product. As I am an enthusiast about what I do, I am inspired to create, whether it involves editing, graphics, visual effects, animation or colour grading.

You will also see from my CV that I have a lot of experience working with both Mac and PC based computer systems and am familiar with most of the current post-production software, such as Adobe After Effects, Apple Shake, Apple Color, Apple Motion, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere for editing and visual effects; Adobe Photoshop for manipulating still images; sound production software, such as Pro Tools, Apple Logic Pro, Sony Sound Forge. However, I am dedicated to and interested in learning all new skills and software and I am a fast learner.

I consider that I am an outgoing and articulate person who is happy to work both as part of a team or by myself and on my own initiative. I also regard myself as a creative person who strives to combine an instinctive feel for the right look, sound and pace, with the acute detail and technical precision needed to produce excellent work.

Besides that, I am a tech savvy person who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty with the most difficult of tasks, and my strong sense of moral and work ethics ensure that I give my 100% to the job in hand.

People see me as a cheerful, fun person, and thanks to my previous experiences as an English language teacher for children and as a brand ambassador for various campaigns, I have developed strong people skills.

I would be extremely glad to be given the opportunity to work for a successful post-production company, as I regard the post-production industry to be a versatile, creative world, which would allow me to grow professionally and creatively. I strongly believe that with my dedication, ability, resourcefulness and problem solving skills, I can offer a positive and valuable contribution to future works.
