Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to apply for the role of Film Production Assistant as I have the skills and experience which make me very suitable for this position.

My previous role was as a Production Assistant for MJW Productions, a busy independent production company in London. I was employed to assist the producer, director and production manager on set and in the office during the development and production of a short dance film for Channel 4. Daily duties included general office administration, responding to emails, issuing and processing invoices and also updating budgets and call sheets, carrying out research, and transcribing interviews.

My passion for film led me to complete a Master's degree in Documentary Film at London College of Communication in 2012, where I developed, produced and edited 3 short films, including my own documentary which will now tour the film festival circuit. I am highly proficient at shooting with broadcast cameras and DSLRs and editing on FCP.

My creativity and ambition have been acknowledged by awards for film ideas I have developed and produced for The London School of English centenary campaign and also a project which was showcased on the Piccadilly Circus screens. I have also worked on high pressure projects, for example as a Web Video Producer for Southwark Council's Olympic campaign, a project which demanded strict adhesion to branding guidelines and deadlines.
