About me

I am a former Graphic Designer and am in search of a company that would allow me the opportunity to re-assert myself as a in a Designer/Illustrator role.

Outside of my Design career I have had a hobby of freehand illustration and currently sell commissioned pieces but would like the opportunity to turn my passion for freehand illustration into a full-time career. I am an innovative illustrator capable of using a variety of traditional freehand and digital techniques.

Previously, I have worked in the Publishing & Design industry for IT Publishing Ltd. I started working as a full time Layout Designer on the publications Internet Monthly, The Internet Explained and MP3X. I worked as part of the creative team in my position within the company. After a short time within the company I was given the role as Webmaster and Designer for one of the company websites. I was able to use and apply my knowledge from my college studies and knowledge that I picked up while working. I was responsible for pre-press, layout and preparing the print files, also, I worked closely with the senior editors, printers and production staff.

Since leaving College, I have become proficient with Adobe CS Suite on both Windows and Mac platforms and kept up to date in the majority of design packages available. I have the ability to work under pressure for tight deadlines and making sure that the work is produced at the highest level. Moreover, I have accumulated experience in designing magazine pages, flyers, brochures, advertisements and am proficient in web design.

I like working with a creative team and have got the ability to communicate with the colleagues and managers alike as my references can give you a confirmation. As such, I always believe that I will make a significant contribution to any team.
