About me

My name is Leigh Poulten, I am a twenty three yearoldmale.IhaveA-Levels
in Art, Graphics and Computing. IspenttwoyearsatBournemouth University
studying Product Design.Ifoundthedesigningpart of the course most
enjoyable, as it allowedmetobecreative andfocus my attention on the
detail. ThecourseincludedusingPhotoshopfor the PC, which I found quite
easy topick upandenjoyedusing. Dueto a short-term illness I did not
completemyfinalyear, adecision,which with hindsight, I now regret. I
hopetostartapart-time HNCGraphic Design Course in
September.Ihavebeenapplyingfor jobsinvolving Photoshop and graphic
design but myageandthe factI didnot finish my degree seem to have been
hamperingme.Ihaveexperienceof Photoshop and Quark for the PC but I
amalsoaquicklearner andpick up new skills quickly and easily,
andbelievethatIwould be ableto adapt to the Mac without difficulty.I
amlookingforacareer thatwill offer me career progression
andlong-termprospects.Iwouldappreciate the opportunity to
returntostudyingwhilstactuallyworking and gaining valuable
experience.Althoughmy agemay beadisadvantage, I feel that I would bring
morematurity tomyworkthanthat of a school leaver and I feel that if I
weregiventhechanceIwould be very well suited to the position. I
alsobelievethatmytwoyears studying Product Design would be of
benefit.Iamreadyandwilling to extend myself, I am
motivated,hardworking,organisedandreliable. I have good people and
practicalskills,I workwelltodeadlines and in stressful situations, and
I haveagoodeyefordetail.
