This is a first time Dalí exhibition exploring and explaining the ideas and thought processes behind his art, along with an insightful look into his inspirations and creative passion. It stems from the early, the surreal through to the classical years of his great life and work...
It's a personal self-initiated project creating a unique brand identity, along with the collateral and advertising/promo material for the exhibition, which will start in Dalí's place of birth and death in Figueres, Catalonia, at the Dalí Theatre-Museum, his last masterpiece! It will then in turn travel and feature in various cities all over the world.

For the brand identity after initial sketches, development and font selections, I finally opted for and manipulated the font (Anagram) which suited this great as it was bold and quirky, it had curls on certain characters which I found interesting, so with a few twists and flips here and there it looked like his famous moustache, I combined that a with a simple sans face (LiteraEF) on certain elements to complement it.

As part of the 'Inside the Mind of Salvador Dali' there is a range of posters I have designed that can be purchased from any of the exhibition shops or via other outlets, including the OOH advertising posters, along with various other merchandise pieces.

The brand identity I used for the exhibition guidebook is a colour variation of the red and gold/yellow of the Catalonian flag in his honour, which is used subtly in the lower corner and also a small graphic symbol representation of the actually flag in the top corner, which continues throughout the guide.

I used the introduction copy for the exhibition as the main format to the guidebook cover design, I repeated it and manipulated it into a complete typographical image/design, the image of Dalí I used to create it was a thought provoking, intriguing shot of him thinking, being introspective, looking straight at the viewer drawing you into the guide and further into his mind!

The back cover is a combination of three shots and all the elements of his obsession with eggs, i.e. the progression of birth, life and death, which was an integral part throughout his working, creative and personal life.
