About me

My name is Lee Peters and I am a qualified Product Designer with a Bachelor of Science degree studied at Bournemouth University. I have recently returned from New Zealand for a year and wish to return to the UK with a stable design career. In response to your advertisement I would love the opportunity to be a part of the design team. I would like a personal opportunity to discuss my qualities as a designer to show how I could fit in and become an asset to your company.

I have come across your job vacancy and feel that this is suited for my experience and determination as a designer. I have always enjoyed a challenge in my work and am very determined. I have worked on projects and briefs solo with successful design results and part of a team where everyone's including my own input made a great contribution to design solutions. I would like an opportunity to show you my capability and how my input will benefit your design solutions in your workplace. I have looked into your site and know this is the opportunity I am after. I would love the opportunity to prove my value with working on this project as part of the design team.

Since my graduation in 2011 I have travelled to New Zealand, Sydney and Bangkok to experience other cultures and have enjoyed the travelling aspect. I have many interests such as photography, martial arts, cycling, snowboarding, diving (for which I am an experienced rescue diver) and travel. I enjoy social activities and from this am able to get along with a variety of different people's personalities very well. I am first aid qualified and I interact very well and due to my interest in new technology, 3D and 2D software I have taught myself extensive knowledge of the Photoshop tools to enhance my personal and job related work, and have come accustomed to different varieties of similar software.

There is nothing I enjoy more than the creative and technical side of working with new products along with the problem solving aspect. Whilst at University I always tried to contact companies to obtain actual quotations that related to my projects so as to ascertain a realistic oversight to the relevant design and to allow me to understand the precise concept of the manufacturing process. With my experience in design I have taken the opportunity to act as part of a professional team and designed accurate detail from concept to manufacture. I can use many programs and aim to continue my professional career in design. I would like to continue to enhance my knowledge with seating industry and learn more techniques and I am confident that with my Product Design/ Engineering background along with the technical knowledge I have in relation to concept to manufacturing, that this will compliment this job opportunity and I feel that I would become a valuable asset within the company.
