About me

I was the in-house artworker in the marketing department for a commercial legal expenses insurance company for 4 years before being made redundant in January 2011. I am a hard worker and conscientious, with a keen eye for detail. (My hobbies include designing personalised greeting cards, gift vouchers, wrapping paper and I was recently commissioned by a colleague to create the new branding for her husband's company, which so far has consisted of headed paper, business cards, advertising foam boards and the company website. I designed and created the front end for two of my last employer's websites.

I am proficient in InDesign and Photoshop CS2 and CS5. I have limited experience in Illustrator, but am more than happy to learn through website tutorials, books and training. I am fully conversant with all MS Office packages. I have had a little experience using MACs but am very quick to learn.

I have good experience in:
• Creating direct mailers (from design to print-ready stage) and also interactive DMs for the company website

• Design of company newsletters

• Design of legislative documentation

• Creating report and accounts from design to print-ready stage

• Front end web design: *, including animations and all images incorporated in the site. I designed the front end for another website (CybHR Space) also for my previous company.

• Creating gif animations and basic flash files for the website

• Basic coding and formatting of HTMLs

• Artworking of company collateral - adhering to company branding guidelines

• Designing exhibition stands from design to print-ready stage

• Artwork and layout of adverts provided by agencies

• Liaising with external agencies and printing companies
