I have 7 years of experience in the field of graphic design and visual communications including signage, web design/basic level of web development with formal and informal design training. This experience has prepared me for a job in creative and/or art direction. I attended Damelin College in 2005 and received my diploma in Media Design and Technology, Graphic Design with 3 distinctions in graphic design, photography and design principles. My professional experience comes from freelance along with large company work which has afforded me the opportunity to work with many clients in varied settings on many different types of projects.

My experience in the field consists of 2 years as a junior and 2 years as a mid graphic designer at Belpro Advertising (East London, South Africa) and 10 months as the senior graphic designer at Ken English Signs (East London, South Africa). After relocating to Cape Town I started freelancing as we were expecting our first child then after a year my fiance got a transfer to Durban, I then freelanced for 2 years as a graphic designer, executing designs such as signage, web design and development, packaging design, banner design, corporate identity design, brochure and poster design. These experiences has provided me with the knowledge base to excel in such mediums as graphic design for print, web design, photo manipulation using Adobe Photoshop and a basic level of flash animation. My software experience in using Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator , Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Flash and Coral 15 will allow me to be a successful member of your design team.

I am a highly motivated individual who has gained from every opportunity I have taken on. I have learnt that working in a team is important for creative inspiration, having that platform to bounce ideas off other workers provides a foundation from which I can push myself - and others - to our greatest potential. Communication and understanding of the project means we can solve the brief to the best of our abilities, guaranteeing that key ideas are executed properly and efficiently. I believe the blending of my artistic talents, computer knowledge and positive attitude makes me an important asset to your company looking for creative design.
