About me

My educational background is in Architectural Design, Technology and Production. Working for my previous employers I have obtained experience in conceptual design, planning applications, building regulations, project management, specifications and monitoring site progression/quality of work. I have experience in liaising directly with clients, contractors and consultant's on a variety of sized bespoke, high end projects predominantly in the private housing sector.

I have managed projects from survey and concept/presentation stages through to detailed design including the production of tender packages and specification documents. I have also worked on interior design projects, previously I worked on a project, providing technical assistance, for which we were a top 4 finalist for the KBB 2011 Award for Bathrooms over £15,000.00.

My previous employment at SHH has given me the opportunity to work as an architectural assistant on a private home refurbishment totally over £35million. My role in this project was to work on the interior design integration and detailing, working closely with the sub-contracted interior designers as well as with the specialist suppliers of Mother of Pearl, Italian marbles and gold leaf, to name but a few.

I am enjoying my experience working for my current practice, co-running several projects for one client in and around the Mayfair area. This work is predominantly full refurbishments of luxury apartments, with the goal being to sell the properties once on-site completion is achieved.

I am applying for this role in the hope to reactivate my CIAT associate membership which is currently on hold, and pursue gaining full chartered membership. I am looking for a role which will allow me to carry out building control packages, tenders, on site management and technical research into new products and systems which may be possible for integration on future commissions.

My capability of multi-tasking is proven by my role of CPD co-ordinator whilst as Clear Designs Ltd, arranging for an office seminar every 2weeks over the course of my employment. I was also quality control checker, for which I received a secondary salary and was employed to check for presentation and packaging of all drawings and applications before they left the office. These roles were both carried out alongside my principle role of Architectural Technician. I was also in charge of updating and adding to the practices AutoCAD tool palettes, sheet templates and layers to ensure drawing standards were consistent throughout the practice.

As you will see from my resume, I have more than four years of experience in the field of surveying and architectural design. My resume shows that I have been consistently rewarded for hard work with promotions and increased responsibilities. These rewards are a direct result of my commitment to personal and professional excellence.
