About me

I recently spent six months as a women's hockey beat writer for HockeyNow, writing copy for both their web and print platforms. During this time, I've logged hundreds of hours researching, interviewing, writing and proofing copy. My second story became that month's cover story, I've interviewed Hayley Wickenheiser and Marie-Philip Poulin at a Hockey Canada press conference when Gatorade Canada signed their first women's hockey brand ambassadors and I've even interviewed Dani Rylan, the Commissioner of the National Women's Hockey League.

That led me to what I do now, writing for The Hockey Writers and this has increased my online credibility tenfold. THW uses WordPress as their digital platform and I've become quite the content optimizer. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) allows for my stories to get found better and this has given me more access to more people and has furthered my scope of resources.
