About me
Cabaret is where my professional skill set has been honed. Working completely independently has meant that self editing and lone problem solving have had to be my top priorities. If there's no one else to make you look good, you've got to do it yourself! I pride myself in making aesthetically beautiful that can withstand multiple, vivacious onstage performances. I offer unique pattern design due to specific functionality requirements which uses a good portion of mechanic sussing whilst catering to a performers vision and concept. Coming from a self-taught background, cabaret has offered an intensive yet creative way of developing costuming skills.
In film and TV my experience as an onset and preproduction wardrobe assistant has given me practical understanding of what is expected when working as part of an active production. The importance of seemingly medial things such as ironing and the colour choice of a jumper could be the difference that makes an award winner.
I believe all these elements make me a suitable and highly eager candidate for the position of wardrobe assistant. My passion for perfection as well as my understanding of the holistic elements of a performance mean that I would be a proactive and cooperative member of your wardrobe team.
