About me

Following on from my Honours degree in Graphic Design, completed in 2007, I have developed a strong career in fashion retail, including management and visual merchandising at Zara.

In 2019, I received my Masters Degree in Fashion and Textile Design, where I rediscovered my passion for learning and creativity. I explored new areas of educational activity and research for my project and created an alternative textile solution to the ongoing issues connected with Fast Fashion by designing an interchangeable textile inspired by optical illusion. My Masters Degree provided me with a deeper understanding of textiles and fuelled my interest in sustainability and fashion design. After graduating with my Masters, I started my own small business, PickyourPoisonPrints, as a freelance graphic designer, which gives me the opportunity to be creative through print and product design as well as using my graphic design skills. I returned to Zara through covid, I now work as visual merchandiser as well as my freelance design work.
From my various roles in retail, I have been very involved in staff training, team management and task organisation. My responsibilities include tight deadlines, working to targets and developing relationships with various people from regular customers to company executives. However, now I am looking for my next opportunity and have the flexibility to work full time or part-time, evenings and/or weekends.

I have a excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe suite and Keynote.
Highly motivated, responsible, reliable with strong communication skills. I am sociable, polite, well organised and a quick learner.
Clean drivers licence.
