About me
My name is Lauren Orlowski and I am a 23-year-old print and digital designer. I enjoy interacting with clients and helping them to create artwork that truly reflects their business goals. My recent position as Lead Designer at the local sign company Impact Sign Solutions and working for Apple on their website has equipped me with a range of skills that I believe are beneficial to your role.
During my time at Impact, I worked on multiple projects simultaneously and I am used to working with customer provided design briefs that have a tight turnaround deadline. I am always happy to offer my creative input and work with others to provide the best creative solution for a project.
In addition to this, my time studying for my degree at Bournemouth University taught me how to design for an online digital medium and has equipped me with a good working knowledge of HTML & CSS. It has provided me with an in-depth knowledge of the Adobe Suite; I am extremely comfortable utilising the software to create my designs. I also found that it has enabled me to quickly pick up and learn new programs and software with relative ease.
I recently completed a contract working for Apple, which was a huge opportunity for me to experience working within a large company, and also impressed upon me the importance of pixel perfect design and corporate branding. Working mainly within Photoshop I was tasked with creating and editing a large amount screens that were seen on the Apple website by millions of people during their product launch period. I also spent two weeks in San Francisco at their headquarters and during this time I was given an extremely tight deadline to turn around thousands of images. This experience enabled me to further my understanding of working quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining a high standard and quality to my work.
