About me

To whom it may concern,

I am a recent graduate from the University of Lincoln. There I obtained a high 2:1 in Media Production.

My time there has made me highly proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. I also have good experience using Apple Mac software and editing programmes such as Final Cut Pro and Avid.

At University I took on a bar job to help finance my degree. I worked at the most up market cocktail Lincoln had to offer, working my way up from a team member to managing my own evenings.

I learnt invaluable skills here such as, communications, high levels of concentration and most importantly great time management.

Before graduating I was accepted on a two week work experience with a Digital PR company based in London Bridge, once again the experience was invaluable. Here I gained an insight into how the busy media industry works, thoroughly enjoying the whole process.

Once I graduated in September 2009 I went straight into a six week internship with a PR, Marketing and Events Management company. Here I learnt how to deal with all different levels of seniority within my own company and varying media companies alike.

My internship was meant to be three months long but unfortunately personal injury and resulting surgery cut my time in half. Once fully fit the position had become financially infeasible for me personally as it was an expenses based internship.

As frustrating as this is I was grateful for my time on such a sought after position. I was informed over a thousand people applied for the position.
Your role looks very challenging, whilst rewarding, and is something I would love to be given an opportunity to thrive in. I am a hard working, empathetic person who tries to live each day to the fullest. I firmly believe that we all learn something new every day and I feel I could contribute a lot to your company, whilst learning a great deal as well.
