About me

My name is Lauren and I have recently graduated from Northumbria University with a B.A. (Hons) degree in Graphic Design (2:1), and I am currently looking for my first job/intern opportunity.

Since starting my learning experience within graphic design I have always wanted to use my skills to help people, and raise awareness to, otherwise not very talked about, topics - this goal being one of the driving forces behind my University Final Major Project (F.M.P).

I specialised in Typography and Editorial design, however, I am eager to learn and want to expand my technical abilities as well as my idea generating skills in other avenues of graphic design. It is one of my ambitions and visions, and I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to work for and learn from such a forward thinking agency. I feel I could contribute successfully.

Currently, I am keeping design proactive by working on my own projects and recently started to branch out to freelancing logo designs for some friends, as well as started to revisit and develop my photography skills.

I have had some work experience during my time at university, the most notable being a two week placement at a brand agency called DECIDE, in Gosforth, Newcastle, where I learnt how to efficiently and effectively communicate and collaborate with others, in a real time, working environment.

I am often described as a hard worker and efficient at promptly applying feedback. I feel I am an effective communicator and team worker.
