About me

I have a BA (Hons) Illustration and an FdA Digital Media Design.

My experience specific to the role includes designing a wide range of promotional material including newsletters, corporate identity/branding, leaflets, brochures, exhibition display panels, press adverts, for a varied client base ranging from local businesses to non-profit public sector organisations.

In addition to this I have gained a good working knowledge and experience of managing multiple projects as well as working to tight deadlines and schedules which I feel I can do in a highly professional and efficient manner.

This experience has been gained through my previous employment, through internships and from working as a freelance graphic designer, details of which (and examples of work ) are listed in my portfolio and my website

I have recently had an internship with LDA Creative Solutions in Eastbourne, and I am currently freelancing but I am eager to join your team to put my skills to the test and can assure you I would be a dedicated employee eager for new responsibility.

Amongst the skills I have to offer, specifically relevant to the position include my excellent creative design skills and attention to detail which I developed whilst studying on my design course and through my employment. I am also proactively improving these skills by regularly reading design publications such as Creative Review and Design Week and I am always striving to improve my skills through different avenues.

In addition to my creative skills I have very good communications skills when liaising with clients, colleagues, and the general public. I can effectively communicate in both face to face and written capacities, these skills have been developed through discussing design briefs with clients and colleagues. This has also helped me to become an excellent team player within a busy customer focussed environment.

In further support of my design and creative skills I also have excellent project management and organisational skills. I am also able to work effectively under pressure and to constantly changing demands within my work schedule.

Other important skills include my computer and software skills with a good knowledge of both Mac and Windows platforms and graphics software such as Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, Adobe Acrobat, CorelDraw. I have developed these skills whilst studying on my design course, through my experience in the design industry and through the use of my own computer system at home.

In further support of my skills and experience for the post I am a highly motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a team and on my own initiative without supervision. I also have a high level of confidence in my creative abilities and my dedication to a forward thinking organisation would be paramount. In terms of interpersonal skills I am very punctual, reliable and have a professional approach to my work and conduct.
