About me
As Innovation Lead at FCB Inferno, I work to empower our teams with the technology, resources, and relationships they need to create world-class advertising.
After completing a Multi-Media Journalism degree at Bournemouth University, I moved into digital marketing via an account exec role at SEO and Search agency, Make It Rain. Realising my calling was more in content and strategy than spreadsheets, I took on the role of Community Manager at AdAge's former digital agency of the decade, Dare. Three rollercoaster years allowed me to work for Diageo, Barclays Premier League, Nescafe, and BMW UK. I evolved from a community manager into a social content editor and strategist.
In 2015 I moved to FCB Inferno to head up their social media offering. For four years I led and managed cross-platform social and content strategy at the agency, running a team of up to 8 social and content strategists and community managers. Key achievements include Sport Englands This Girl Can and Pearsons Project Literacy, both of which picked up Grand Prix's at Cannes Lions.
At FCB Inferno we pride ourselves on our force for good work, and I am lucky to have worked on campaigns including Change Please, Barnardos and a number of Home Office campaigns. I am proud to lead the social strategy for UEFA's Together #WePlayStrong campaign, a digitally-led initiative that seeks to establish football as the number one sport for girls in Europe by 2020. From channel and content strategy, through to paid media planning, influencer outreach and developing campaigns alongside emerging platforms such as TikTok, the campaign was built 'from the girls up' and was recognised by Cannes Lions in 2018, achieving a bronze lion for multi-channel strategy.
As Director of Innovation, by remit has broadened outside of the social space and into the exciting world of broader innovative thinking and activation. I lead our partner programme, working with the likes of Amazon and IBM. I launched our influencer marketing offering and I have set up an innovation workshop series for our clients, covering topics ranging from mixed reality to voice.
