About me
While working as a freelance editor, I had the opportunity to edit numerous wedding videos, each with a different theme and feel. I also had the opportunity to write, shoot, and edit a corporate showroom tour video for a local business. These experiences required that I tell a complete, interesting, and unique story in a short amount of time.
While completing my degree at Belmont University, my coursework has given me the opportunity to learn theories of editing as well as various editing software, including Final Cut Pro and AVID Media Composer. I have also had various experiences editing promotional videos and student films, which required good organizational skills in order to work efficiently and to ensure the correct message was being conveyed through the videos produced. These projects, which often had a quick turn around time, also required me to work as a team player in order to ensure the client's needs were met by the deadlines they gave.
I have also had the opportunity to work closely with Both Hands Foundation, a local Nashville non-profit. As a member of a small team, I helped create content that will be used to spread awareness and raise funds for the foundation. This content included creating a promotional video and organizing an event to bring the founder of Both Hands Foundation to Belmont University, which increased awareness of the non-profit and their fundraisers to the student body. This experience helps me understand the elements of creating effective working relationships and taught me how to be flexible and how to work well under pressure.
