About me
My name is Laura Staines and I have completed a BA (Hons) degree in Graphic Design at the University of the West of England receiving a 2:1. My degree included studying typography, the techniques used by different designers, layouts and printing techniques. My work includes a book titled ‘It was different then' and several posters based around nostalgia and photography. Over time I've gained substantial experience with using both Mac and PC software such as: Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and 3Ds Max.
Since graduating, I have spent the time working as store supervisor at Fat Face in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. From my role within the company I have developed a variety of skill sets. These include team management, excellent time discipline and decision making. As supervisor I was required to motivate staff, create and monitor daily tasks, process the end of week financial paperwork and run the shop floor to deliver a high standard of tidiness and customer service.
I'm a hard working and keen employee, always pushing to better my own standards. My aim is to work for a company such as yours to keep developing my passion for graphic design.
