About me

I have recently graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a Fine Art BA degree, where I learnt a great deal and worked with many different Medias such as painting, drawing, silk screen printing, photography and film. I have intermediate level knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe premiere pro. I have attained experience through working as an art workshop assistant at the University of Hertfordshire on several occasions at Easter as well as summer 2009. I was in charge of a group of young people, who varied in abilities of which some were special needs. I took them to each workshop where I assisted the teaching staff by making sure each child understood and enjoyed the workshop, as well as maintaining the Universities code of conduct and health and safety procedures. I worked at St. Clere's school as a teacher's assistant in the art department for three days on a voluntary basis. I gained knowledge on how the class room was run and how to keep the creative art work to the curriculum. At Palmers College where I worked on a voluntary basis for five days as a teaching assistant, I gained a lot of knowledge from the teaching professionals at the college and had firsthand experience of working with young people helping, supporting and teaching the pupils in Fine Art, who were all at different levels of abilities. I worked hard to keep all the pupils in the class focused and enthusiastic in their work and on track with their AS and A level coursework. I have also been involved with a community mural project which was organised by Hertfordshire council, where I learnt a variety of different view points on art. I have good people skills, patience and have many years experience working with the public in retail, I am reliable, responsible and a good time keeper.
