About me

I have just graduated from Goldsmiths University where I studied Textiles. This three-year course was an exploration of the understanding and interpretation of contemporary textiles. The course allowed me to develop varied and acute analytical skills through extensive research, and hone my independent working skills, my creativity and my communication skills.

I pride myself in inventiveness and thoughtfulness of design and would relish this opportunity to work as part of a creative team within textile furnishings. I have a keen interest in surface pattern design and I have a good eye for detail and colour tone. I pride myself in the quality of my drawings, subtlety of my ideas, and the ability to create beautiful and original designs.

I have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proven high quality research skills from in-depth university study. Throughout my university course I have developed impeccable presentation skills; from talking about and discussing my work within group studio critiques, and as every piece of work submitted has had to be of the highest standard. I feel that the position advertised would allow me to combine these skills and interests and produce the high standard of creativity, perfectionism, clarity, and reliability that the role would require.

I am computer literate, with a working knowledge of Photoshop, and pride myself on being a quick learner and enthusiastic about learning new things.
