Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Laura Higueras and I wish to apply for the Art Director position. I have an extensive and exciting career history in the advertising sector. This includes six years of experience as a Senior Art Director at McCann Erickson Madrid and more recently one years experience working as an Art Director at Nitrogen, a Huntsworth Health company based in London. Throughout my career history I have been responsible for creating integrated advertising campaigns, mainly print and TV, for prestigious clients, such as Coca-Cola, General Motors, Banco Santander, Pfizer, Siemens and Telefónica Movistar. I wish to apply for the position because I want to continue to develop my experience in the UK and to gain exposure to different campaigns in varied sectors in an important and creative advertising agency.

My six years in McCann Erickson demonstrates my ability to work in a multinational company with many departments and in different teams. I am able to create concepts, design, direct at filmings, video edit and audio edit in studios and present to clients. I have worked in a variety of sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, the automotive industry, consumer goods and media.

In my current position as an Art Director at Nitrogen I have had the opportunity to learn about advertising in the UK and widen my international experience. This involved working with leading global pharmaceutical companies and developing UK, European and global multichannel campaigns. From the creative point of view healthcare is a challenging industry which has enabled me to develop my creative skills further. My time at Nitrogen has given me the opportunity to learn about a new interesting sector but now I am very keen to continue to develop my career and gain exposure to new sectors. In McCann Erickson I specially developed my creative skills, whilst at Nitrogen I have learnt how a strong strategic approach is essential to every project. I believe that strategy and creativity are two complement approaches that are a perfect combination to build any successful brand.

I am fascinated by the opportunity to continue working in advertising in London and I am keen to offer all my experience and knowledge in Spanish advertising. I believe that my career experience, my conscientiousness, strong work ethic and passion for advertising and creativity make me an ideal candidate.
