About me
At the moment, I am employed at the Mirror Online as a news reporter and have previously been based at organisations such as Mail Online, Scottish Television (STV), Newsquest and Material Communications.
Having previously worked in sales, PR and magazine roles, I have a very adaptable writing style which has seen me produce a range of news and feature pieces, while adhering to various house styles.
I have the ability to juggle a variety of tasks while sticking to a number of deadlines. As well as writing and proofreading several weekly newspapers, I was also in charge of placing articles onto pages so would liaise closely with the advertising team and photo desk.
I am very computer literate particularly when it comes to using software such as Adobe and Photoshop. In addition, my ability to liaise with people of all levels has been demonstrated in attending press events, building new contacts, confidently conducting interviews and working as a team
I graduated in Journalism and English Literature from Strathclyde University in 2013 and my dissertation topic focussed on 'The Impact of Social Media in Creating a Brand'.
My interests include food and drink, health and fitness, travel and fashion.
