RE: Junior Art Director

Doing an Advertising course at the University of Central Lancashire for the previous three years has given me a great insight into both the advertising and marketing industry.

The course concentrates on the creative side of advertising whereby I would start with intensive research to then creative an effect advertising campaign. It has been greatly beneficial as I have studied a range of media and what campaigns and strategies suit them best.

Each week during the course I have been given new challenges of finding the perfect advertisement for a range of products, which have tested my creativity but also helped me gain knowledge towards each product sector. It is also a week in week out deadline-based course so I am used to being put under pressure and ensuring my work is done in time and to the best standard.

I feel I have great confidence in both my work and pitching it to others. During my course, every week I have had to pitch my work to both familiar faces and creative agency visitors so I have gained a great ability of confidence in both my work and communicating effectively to others.

Having experienced three years of university, I feel I am ready to take on full time work and it would be a fantastic opportunity to work within such a great industry.

I also have an interest in fashion and music, being a big passion of mine. I keep up to date with new and up coming bands and enjoy going to gigs and festivals.
