About me
Tho whom it may concerns
Dear Sir/Madame,
I would like to apply for the position of EVENTS ASSISTANT. I'm volunteering at the moment for the Alzheimer's Society in the Running Events Team, and ne of my main responsibilities has been providing administrative and fundraising support for all the Running events, especially the London Marathon 2015. My involvement has been with pre-event communication, responding to participant enquiries via email, assisting on event day, sending out thank you letters post event and collation of volunteer and participant feedback forms. I can be relied upon to communicate with a wide range of individuals whether that be internal staff or external donors: a skill which has been perfected through my experience of managing clients at various levels of authority. I am required to use Progress on a daily basis and I am responsible for ensuring all records are updated carefully and accurately. My tasks on Progress include pulling out data and registering it on specific Excel spreadsheets, looking out for information and creating reports. I also am required to pull data out from other sources like the Internet and Alzheimer's Society Intranet. I was also required to constantly use:
- Internet: to carry out research and run some processes like importing new runners in the database by researching their information in certain websites like Virgin Money Giving or Just Giving:
- Microsoft Word: to write adverts to publish on different website in order to recruit new volunteers for the cheering points;
- Microsoft Excel: to register new data, update information and results of the processes;
- Progress: CRM database;
- Intranet: to check out information about the Company;
- Xcalibre: to order promotional materials and dispatch it to a certain address
I would like to apply for this position as I am sure I can be a valuable candidate due to my personal skills and job experiences. I am reliable and trustwhorty, positive and with a can-do attitude. I am fascinated from new challenges and I can manage stressful situations. I am a hard worker and I have a strong eye for details. I love to be part of a team, even if I don't mind working alone if required. I am driven to finish tasks quickly and correctly, that's why I got a positive feedback from every employer I had so far.
During my studies in Italy (Diploma in Accountancy in 2005) I also obtained the qualification of the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence), which gave me the knowledge of the Microsoft Pack. In 2014 I enroled in an online course of Event Management to develop a professional knowledge of the job.
I'm looking forward to hear from you soon.
Best wishes,
Laura Brigliozzi
