About me

Design is everywhere and with the widespread understanding of the
software packages available everyone is a designer. That is if your
definition of a designer is someone who decorates. If anything is Art
then anyone is an artist. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately for me,
this is not true of design, as is patently obvious from the
overwhelming sea of trash design being produced. A little bit of
information about how to use Photoshop or Corel Draw does not make a
designer, mostly because design is a thought process not a mechanical
craft. Good designers are very different, they are communicators,
persuaders, who understand the complex cultural messages that result in
achieving a client's aims.

For most companies recruiting designers is a daunting task. After
all, aren't designers difficult, delicate things that throw tantrums
whenever their work is criticised
value the opinions of others, they will argue their corner but listen
carefully to opinions that come from an expert knowledge of a product
or service often gained over many years.

I have worked in the creative industry for over six years. I am very
passionate about and committed to my work and believe my life is
enriched by the challenges that occur every day in this always changing
industry. I have recently moved to London and am ready for a new
challenge. I hope that what you have read so far will have persuaded
you that not only is a good designer a valuable asset for any company
but that I am the only choice, full stop.
