About me
As an illustrator I enjoy creating whimsical, fun, and imaginative scenes with an emphasis on storytelling. My pieces are developed digitally or painted with gouache and color-pencil letting my intuition guide the process. My current interest is creating visually and emotionally compelling books for children with unique characters.
Included in my graduate portfolio is a children's book named Layla's Lantern that I authored and illustrated which was long-listed for AOI's World Illustration Awards 2020. I also was a student runner-up in Creative Quarterly's 52 in 2018, received an award at MassArt's All School Show in 2018, and received a 2,500 dollar scholarship for my artwork in 2017 through AKF in Boston, Massachusetts.
Recently, I have done some editorial work for Juno magazine, and collaborated with Scottish writer, Paul Coulter on a picture book proposal about different places in Edinburgh. I also recently exhibited my artwork at the French insitute of Edinburgh.
I received my BFA in 2018 at Massachusetts College Of Art majoring in Illustration. In 2020 I received my MFA in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art.
I am available for freelance work and commissions, and currently located in Edinburgh, Scotland.
