Lara's work

I am a recent graduate of Theatre Design from Nottingham Trent, interested in both Theatre related design, as well as Production Design and Art Direction in Films and Television. My design process tends to be very 'organic', and I prefer working alongside rehearsals and through doing quick sketches whilst action is taking place, as I naturally seem to place an emphasis on the importance of moments and how a colour or particular object can work alongside a moment to make the image stick and resonate within the mind. I also enjoy experimenting with opposites and contradictions, seeing how objects and actions can differ in meaning depending on when and where they take place. Some of my favourite Theatre companies include Forced Entertainment, Birmingham Opera Company and Complicite.
