About me
I'm Lance Burkitt, a photographer and creative professional with more than 20 years of experience working across editorial, fashion, portraiture, commercial photography and visual storytelling.
My work is centred around people, character and strong visual identity. I'm particularly interested in creating images that feel considered, distinctive and purposeful rather than overly manufactured. Whether I'm working with a model, actor, business, publication or creative team, I aim to produce photography that communicates something beyond the surface.
My background spans both professional photography and creative education. Alongside my photographic career, I have spent many years teaching, managing creative programmes and leading teams within further and higher education. That experience has shaped the way I work: collaboratively, strategically and with a strong understanding of communication, creative direction and the wider purpose behind an image.
My photographic practice includes fashion and editorial work, actor and model portfolios, portraiture, brand photography, street and travel photography, and commissioned visual content. My work has been published internationally, including recent editorial features in Vigour Magazine, and I continue to develop personal and commissioned projects alongside commercial work.
I'm based in South Yorkshire and work across the UK and internationally.
