Work Experience

Peter Burgess Design

Assistant Designer

Once I had acquired the distinction at HND, Peter offered me a full time position in his business. I soon developed a variety of graphic skills, such as, branding, box making, product visuals, painting, airbrushing, product mock-ups, stationary, concept design, print, 3D artwork, colour management, photography, web design, brochure design and final artworking. I also became advanced in design programmes such as:

Photoshop

Illustrator

In-Design

Freehand

Acrobat Professional

Flash

I have also further developed my skills in web design, and have become accustomed to the numerous problems that can occur through this tedious yet rewarding process.

Flash games design

In my free time I enjoy designing Flash games, which can be found on the internet. Designing and building these games has transformed my understanding and knowledge of action script, as well as the Flash programme interface.

Peter Burgess Design (Unpaid Work Experience)

Junior Designer

I first met Peter Burgess after a presentation at Northbrook College, in which he highlighted work in the graphic design industry. After his meeting had finished, I expressed an interest in his work, and exchanged details with him. From this, I began my unpaid work experience for one day

every week.

I found that working with Peter dramatically improved the level and accuracy of my college work, and my confidence in design grew.
