About me
In July of this year I graduated from The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen with a BDes (Hons) in Graphic Design. Throughout university I Have built excellent skills in the Adobe Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and InDesign. I have not only used these skills within a university environment but have started to build up a small freelance client base as well as taking on a three month placement within a Design agency in Glasgow.Throughout my time working within the design agency I was responsible for certain projects including sporting logos and a leaflet design for the Rape Crisis Centre in Glasgow. Not only was I given the responsibility for the designs but I was also in charge of taking the client briefs for these projects, making print ready files and dealing with printers. Whilst working here I also helped the company man an exhibition stand at New Start Scotland at the SECC, here I promoted the design agency as well as recreating the artwork for the New Start Scotland exhibition stand.Upon Graduating from The Robert Gordon University I was awarded the James Smith Bequest Award for a brochure design that I created as part of my final year project. Not only have I had experience working within a design agency but I have also worked for four years during the summer months as a clerical assistant in a letting agency. This experience provided me with essential office skills as well as building upon my team working skills and improving my ability when dealing with the public, suppliers and other letting organisations.I know that I have the skills and qualities required to take on this role and that I will be exceptionally organised, focused, creative and up for any challenge that I am faced with however demanding it may be.
