About me
Dear Sir / Madam,
Please find my CV that I have attached in application for the position of graphic designer at OKA.
I am currently completing my MA in Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. During this course I have studied about the possibility of a visual language using colour and shape in logos. In particular, my final project aims to explore current colour usage on the top 100 global logos in the word and investigate the particular reasons why companies use specific colours to visually represent themselves.
I obtained a scholarship to study at Kangnam University in Korea and achieved a BA in Visual and Communication Design with Merit. I gained seven student awards including winner of Saab Design Competition (2006), winner of Hansung Airline Corporate Identity Design award (2006) and two awards from Korea Industrial Artist's Association (2005,2006).
After graduating with a BA at Kangnam University, I worked as a Branding and Corporate Identity Designer at Total Impact brand design agency in Korea. Mostly, my clients were Korean conglomerates such as SAMSUNG, HYUNDAI and SK Telecom. I was part of a team which successfully re-designed the graphic design system and packaging for Samsung. We also received the RedDot Communication Award 2010 for our work re-designing the graphic identity for SK Telecom.
As a professional individual I feel I am a good team player and adaptable; organized and punctual, hard working and able to work to deadlines. I am determined and decisive and ultimately creative with an eye to the future. Thank you.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further information. I look forward to discussing this exciting position further at interview should you find my profile suitable.
Sincerely,
KWANG HYUN (Sean) Ahn
