About me

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Im writing to inform about my interest in the offered Job by your respectable company.

Im very passionate about printing & the different techniques of printing as well as designing prints (putting these to repeats, manipulating the design are creating innovative pieces of prints. I have a great interest in art, design & photography. I have graduated from University Of the Arts (LCC) in BA Surface Design and much of my course involved working on photoshop as a process of designing and editing. I have experience in vital aspects of photography, which involved image editing, colour adjustment, cropping, resizing, re- touching on photoshop, digital photography, designing as well as the practical procedure of printing.

I see my self as a strong candidate for this position because I have immense knowledge & experience in textile printing, Adobe Photoshop, liaising with customers & factories and furthermore, I'm currently getting myself familiar with In Design & Illustrator. I see myself as a fast learner & i have great attention to detail.

Im currently working at Sabichi House, as a sales Co-Ordinator, where working under pressure is key to success, as making sure things are running smoothly. My duties involve, using Powerpoint to creat presentations for the sales manager, Making sure red seal, gold seal samples arrive on time & are approved by customers, briefing the art work for the packaging, creating the packaging & spec forms, updating the critical path as well photographing the samples that we receive from factories & finally Chasing shipment up. My Job Role at Sabichi has given me a vast amount of knowledge of the procedures involved in day to day business with is growing rapidly. Also, Communicating with factories.

Also, my internship at Gilda's Tryst, a luxury jewellery brand consisted of marketing the brand. Researching on many ways to promote the new brand, such as awards/ via blogs/ shows as well as selling, preparing the show at the London fashion weekend, where the brand was exhibiting.

Whilst doing my internship at Ashiana, it's given me the opportunity to learn about an expanding business in depth. My role at Ashiana involves being an all rounder, for example having the product knowledge and being aware of the market to be able to interact with buyers (potential clients) and give them the necessary information required for the orders to take place. Getting the orders created for the clients, making sure payments have been made and getting the orders out to the clients on time. During the whole process it's extremely important to be organised, to keep on top of things. Also creating invoices and sending them out to clients to confirm their orders are correct is extremely important, as it was necessary to make sure the correct number of goods are produced, as this could lead to left over stock. During my time at Ashiana Jewellery Internship, I was then given the opportunity for part time role, working 3-4 days during the week & helping the designer in the design process, working as an assistant designer.

Working at Harrods as a part time gives me the opportunity to enhance my communication skills as there are customers all around the world, who come to shop and require assistance. I'm extremely organized individual who likes to make sure things are done to the best of their ability. As previously exhibiting my work at the Free Range show, New Designer and the University of the Arts (LCC) required good organisational skills.

I would be extremely thankful if you could consider for this position.

Many Thanks,

Kritika Kumar
