Kristina has 20+ years editorial and advertising experience. She is an accomplished visual storyteller who can take an editorial feature, product shoot or photo essay from concept through production, editing and sequencing.
Kristina creates bold portraits and relatable narratives for publications, non-profits, and brands. Her photography is imbued with empathy, humor, light, and warmth. She endeavors to honor heroism, hard work, resilience, and hope, and is often drawn to the offbeat and unexpected moments of everyday life. Kristina approaches editorial, commercial, and personal projects from the same ethos.
Kristina studied art history, communication, and design, earning a B.F.A. in Visual Communication. For a decade she built a successful career in Chicago as a freelance designer, art director and art producer, while cultivating her interests in cinematography, poetry, and Jungian psychology. She was ultimately drawn to career in photography, beginning as a freelancer for local newspapers.
