About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hold a Bachelor of Graphic Design with two years of experience after graduating.
I am proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as well as with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Excel.
My Portfolio and website show insightful, creative examples in a diverse range of creative fields.
Working at Coastal Coasters, I worked with a small team of designers to create promotional materials, working under pressure and to strict deadlines.
While at Stress Design in New York, I enjoyed working with the creative and fun team to create layouts, typography, photography and print media, following existing brand guidelines as well as designing from scratch.
At Foyer Printing, I was the sole designer to liaise with the client and designed a print project from conception to completion, interpreting the design brief into an innovative yet appropriate printed book.
The reason I am now looking for employment is due to recently moving to the United Kingdom where I have a Youth Mobility Visa, allowing me to work.
Please find my CV attached. A Digital Portfolio is available upon request. I can currently be contacted via email or mobile and am available for an interview at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Kristen Thorley

“Kristen was able to step into our busy environment and work at a professional level with very little need for additional instruction on how to use the various tools. The information she brings with her allows her to be very nimble moving from task to task.
Kristen is a very strong creative individual and has the ability to determine the Most Advanced Yet Acceptable (MAYA) solutions for the task at hand. Her work was always appropriate for the end user, and client sensibilities, as well as being a solid addition to the studio aesthetic.
Kristen needs to be sure to communicate fully and completely on work status. While she is very confident and competent on the computer as a tool, she should concentrate on finding ways to be efficient with production techniques. Kristen also needs to be sure to rely on the expertise and experience of the people around her never hesitating to ask questions.
Bringing an intern in a busy creative office can be a challenge for the employer and the student. Kristen did not hesitate to demonstrate her value to us on a daily basis. I could put any project in front of her that I would hand to another designer.”
