About me

After finishing a four-year Diploma degree in Communication Design at Ecosign Academy Cologne I continuously gained profound work experience. I worked in the fields of web- and interface design as well as animation and illustration for well-known companies for several years. In particular my tasks consisted of developing, designing and operating landing pages, web wheels, banners, ad games and print campaigns, e.g. for Disney Deutschland and EMI Musik. Further jobs involved conception, finding creative solutions, design and realization. Thereby it was very important for me to meet and expand the client s identity and customer profile in artistic as well as target-group-oriented expression. I am a team player. Thorough communication to the client and linked departments like programming, project management or screenplay writing is essential to the process of production in my view. While working as an illustrator I developed concepts, designed and animated backgrounds, icons and characters for companies such as web.de and bwin. Through my work I developed a great rigorous eye for detail shading and colour as well as a high demand towards my own designs. The ideal extension to my Communication Design studies was the nine-months Mobile Annimation Content course at the Internationale Filmschule Köln, which I completed whilst continuing my freelance work. The main aspects of the post-graduate study focused on defining new themes and innovative formats for mobile and crossmedial entertainment and therewith on creating new business areas. The base of my career was my Dipl. Communication Design studies at Ecosign Academy Cologne, which I successfully completed with distinction. I develeoped a five-minute animation film using Flash and After Effects. The topic of my graduate project was Propaganda: The visualization of martial conflict in media.
