Monumo is a electromagnetic engineering start-up that combines human ingenuity with deep tech intelligence to develop transformative technologies for a sustainable future. KISS developed their website to support them as they emerged from ‘stealth mode’ with a clear focus on intriguing investors and attracting talent, whilst giving away just the right amount of information.

With an eye-watering calibre of senior people recruited from the likes of McLaren, Microsoft and Arm, Monumo’s initial focus is to optimise the electric motor by radically address how they work and the materials they use. Having established their core team and approach, Monumo’s next stage of growth was to build excitement around investment opportunities and continue to attract the right type of specialists to join the team.

With Monumo’s IP in development there were limitations into how much detail the site could communicate so creating ‘intrigue’ was a cornerstone in engaging the right audience. Nevertheless, at all points the website subtly and overtly centralises Monumo’s vision. We surfaced insights to excite natural problem solvers and demonstrated the scale of the opportunities without explicitly talking about the solution, just the approach. This was made even more engaging through interactive devices and videos produced in line with the website’s concept.

This website was the first activation of the brand. All aspects of the interface were designed to reflect the highly technical nature of the organisation, ensuring a memorable experience that reflected Monumo’s innovation. The client is delighted with the work, reporting that "the site has successfully attracted job candidates and appealed to the kind of people we wanted to hire. Many applicants have commented on the site, which tells them just enough but not too much! Likewise with investors, it strikes the right balance to impress and intrigue without giving too much away. It is a good representation of the brand and company values, being both dynamic and fun."
