Just another designer

A designer who likes to do research...a bit strange, most designers normally skip that bit and then after they have made something, they then do some research to say where the idea comes from....not a true design.

I have experience using photoshop, dreamweaver, illustrator, indesign and flash.

Using these software programmes to the highest level for The Shop Direct Groups companies, Littlewoods Clearance, Littlewoods Clearance on eBay, Very Clearance and BargainCrazy.com.

Creating marketing promotional emails, with interactive links, unsubscribe links, adding tracking links. Designing still and animated affiliate banners to be used on eBay and nationally. Updating banners and the look of the above listed websites and creating bi monthly research folders of what similar companies are doing with their emails and websites to see what the latest trends are, this gives me an insight as to where we, as a company need to go and what our next design move should be.

It is 70% research, 20% design and 10% luck! That is how I work.

Skills

I have many skills across the media type. I have years of experience with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, Email Marketing, Flash, File Zilla, Illustrator, After Effects and Final Cut Pro.

Sector Experience

I have worked for two years in the media industry. I am currently working for The Shop Direct Group as a Digital Graphic Designer, designing and creating e-shots for the four brands that we run., These brands are Littlewoods Clearance Stores, Littlewoods Clearance on eBay, Very Clearance on eBay and BargainCrazy.com. , Other responsibilities I have in my role is to keep the look of all four sites up to date with the latest trends, including their corrisponding social networking sites. , I research marketing emails that are done by other fashion stores, making sure our emails are upto date and are not getting left behind design wise. This research is put into a folder and is used through out the month to refer backed to for ideas.
