About me

I am presently seeking employment as a junior designer.

I have worked as both a language instructor and an in-house designer for a teaching company in Japan over the past three years. A large part of the work involved working in teams to brainstorm ideas for curriculum, new ideas for games and activities and other teaching materials. As the only designer in the company I was responsible for production of all printed materials such as children's workbooks and posters. This was a creative, goal-orientated environment with strict deadlines.

For the past couple of years both within my company and as a freelance designer I have been able to build up my knowledge of design applications and techniques. I have trained myself through various sources and am dedicated to constantly extending my knowledge of design and the world around me.

In Japan there was the benefit of being challenged to think outside of my cultural background and design with another psyche in mind. This resulted in work pieced from my understanding of the unique blend of Western and Eastern thought in Japan.
