Flyt Seaweed is a sustainable gourmet seaweed produced in Austevoll, Norway.
‘Flyt’ is Norwegian for ‘float’ and ‘flow’. And if you have ‘God flyt’ (Good flow) – you have good fortune in life. Good health brings good fortune, and seaweed packed with goodness is a great way to start.

Flyt is harvested in the deep and cold Norwegian sea. A place with a different flow, soft and organic, with unique shapes and textures. To reflect the organic beauty of seaweed, we made a visual language generator which creates identifiable symbols, a language with hidden depths.

These symbols were used on the front of the packaging, brand elements, merch and stationary, by scanning these with the Flyt app, costumers will be able to find out more about the people, harvest and production of Flyt. This gives the brand an extra communicative dimension, to strengthen the target groups commitment to the product and enrich their user experience.

For the brand, a custom paper with symbols embossed into the fabric was created. This is used throughout the brand, from packaging to business cards, tying all the elements together.
